What was formerly a market segment dominated by the Honda CR-V and the Toyota Rav4, will now have a new contender - the Nissan Rogue.

According to Nissan, dealers will begin receiving shipments of the $20,000 Rogue in September.

The 170 horsepower Rogue will feature 27 miles per gallon gas milage, all-wheel drive, steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters (an idea taken from Formula-1 race cars), and a new type of transmission that is touted as “virtually gearless.”
